Frequently Asked Questions

Do You Use Pesticides, Including Neonicotinoids?

Our plants are free of pesticides. We do not use any kind of neonicotinoids on our plants or seeds. We also don't treat our plants with any other kind of pesticide unless it is something organic like neem oil. We believe that it is important not to use pesticides that harm pollinators. If a plant is treated with certain pesticides, like neonicotinoids, it can kill pollinators when they consume the pollen/nectar and decline the population even further.

Will My Plants Be Trimmed Before Shipping?

We keep live plants trimmed for the health of the plant, and they may be cut before shipping. This does not harm the plant and actually makes it stronger and ready to grow for you when you receive it.

Can I Request a Certain Ship Date?

You can let us know a special date request in the notes section at checkout, and we will try our best to accommodate.

Can I Pick Up My Order?

We do not have a retail store front so we are not able to take order pickups at this time.

What Is Your Cancellation/Return Policy?

After an email is sent saying your order is shipping, the order can be cancelled for a 20% restocking fee and only if the carrier has not picked up the package.

Anytime, prior to the shipping confirmation email being sent, an order can be cancelled without penalty.

When your order arrives, please look closely at the box and if there are any damages, please take pictures and send the photos to the following: sales@3bnatives.com

In transit there can be some loose dirt or broken stems. This usually appears worse than it actually is. Again, take photos and either email sales@3bnatives.com or call 217-996-9250. We will guide you through how to determine if the plant is still viable. If determined viable we will ask that you plant immediately and give the plant a couple of weeks to establish and show new growth. If the plant does not establish, a full refund for any damaged plants will be given. A full refund will also be given for any plants determined not viable due to shipping damages. All refunds will be issued back to the original payment method.

After a healthy plant, that arrived in good condition, has been planted we can not guarantee the plant. There are too many variables that can affect whether a plant will establish and grow: planted properly, site conditions, pests, etc. Please keep in mind these are Native Prairie Plants and certain species can be picky about their environment. Whether or not a species will take to a location can not be determined until after planting. Please be sure to research before planting. That being said, most species do extremely well with very few issues.

When Will My Order Ship?

We begin shipping live plants at the end of April/first week of May and continue throughout the month, depending on where you are located (weather permitting). Bulbs start shipping late July.

Orders received by 7:00 AM on Wednesday will ship the following Monday or Tuesday to make sure your plants aren't in transit longer than they should be.

Do You Offer Wholesale?

We gladly offer contract/wholesale pricing. Please refer to our Contract & Wholesale Order page to look at our available species and get in touch.

My Organization is Tax Exempt. How Do I Sign Up for Exemption With You?
