Watch as Wild Hyacinth’s light blue blooms unfold from bottom to top and start attracting bees in the spring. Enjoys acidic soil, but will tolerate clay soil as well if there's enough moisture. Prefers sunny locations, but will also grow in shady areas. Not only does it look beautiful and attract pollinators, it is edible. However, exercise caution, as its appearance closely resembles Zygadenus nuttallii, which is poisonous. Fall sown Wild Hyacinth bulbs will produce beautiful, sweet smelling pale blue flowers early in the Spring for a nice early pop of color.

Our bulbs are hand dug in late July once the bulbs are dormant and sorted right here on our farm! Bulb size: around 3/4 inch or bigger

*Dormant bulbs need to be planted, approximately 4 inches deep from soil surface, in the Fall prior to the first freeze. Once the bulbs experience cold Winter conditions, they will produce aromatic blue flowers in the Spring.
