Downy Wood Mint has distinctive hairy stems and flowers accompanied by reddish spots, reminiscent of Monardas. This easy-going perennial is mildly fragrant and is resilient and adaptable, thriving in various conditions. Put in an area with good air circulation to prevent powdery mildew. You can still enjoy the small basal leaves and shoots in the winter as they remain green even with the cold temps.
