Amorpha canescens - Lead Plant
Amorpha canescens - Lead Plant
Lead Plant is a beautiful delicate looking plant with tall tubular spiked flowers, adorned with bright tiny purple blooms and striking orange stamens that attract bees like crazy. While it takes a few years to mature, it is quite hardy, being able to survive fires and droughts thanks to its extensive roots. Plus, it’s also tolerant of salty areas. Give it full sun to get the most flowers. Not just a visual delight, Amorpha canescens hosts the Southern Dogface butterfly and attracts a variety of beneficial insects.
