Side-oats Grama is a graceful grass species that adds unique charm to your garden. Blooming small reddish flowers that transition to tan in fall, it provides visual interest throughout the seasons. It's also salt tolerant. Side-oats Grama only actively grows in warm summer soil temperatures. Serving as both a food and larval source for various Skipper Moths, it contributes to the biodiversity of your garden. Beyond its natural beauty, the grass can be dried for floral arrangements. Native Americans used to dry it and utilize it as broom bristles.

PLANTS MAY BE TRIMMED UPON ARRIVAL. We keep live plants trimmed for the health of the plant, and they may be cut before shipping. This does not harm the plant and actually makes it stronger and ready to grow for you when you receive it.

SHIPPING INFO:
We begin shipping live plants at the end of April and the first week of May depending on where you are located (weather permitting). Bulbs start shipping late July.
We ship live plants on Monday-Wednesday. Live plant orders ship in 1-2 business days unless ordered after cutoff time (7:00 AM on Wednesday) for the week, then it could take up to 3 business days. Orders received by 7:00 AM on Wednesday will ship the following Monday or Tuesday to make sure your plants aren't in transit longer than they should be. Delivery for all orders from carrier takes about 1-5 days. We ship all other products Monday-Friday.
