Chelone glabra - Turtlehead
Turtlehead earns its name from its unique white flowers that resemble turtles poking their heads out. Growing on upright stems, it thrives in wet or moist soil with full to part sun. This plant is an important host for the Baltimore Checkerspot butterfly and attracts bees, hummingbirds, and other butterflies, making it a must-have for pollinator-friendly gardens.
