Purple Coneflower is a garden favorite cherished by bees and serving as a host for the Ottoe Skipper butterfly. Beyond its visual appeal, it also has medicinal uses that have been used by humans for ages. It is also salt-tolerant, and quite resilient. Echinacea purpurea is an essential part of our Monarch Meal Plan of 9 native plants that are vital contributors to the well-being and life cycle of Monarch butterflies that you can learn more about here.

Great Native Plants for Pollinator Gardens

We are extremely lucky to have this knowledgeable native plant vendor nearby. They have guided me through countless pollinator garden projects using native plants, and I can’t imagine doing it without them. I highly recommend them.
