Pale Beardtongue is a standout among the Penstemons, blooming early to grace your garden with delicate beauty. It’s also salt tolerant and a favorite among bees. Be sure to have well-drained soil to prevent root rot. It displays light white tubular flowers that butterflies, bees, hummingbirds, and more absolutely love.

Planted 2 last Fall in an eastern exposure site with about 5 to 7 hours of direct, mostly AM hour, sun. Both grew a single stalk of flowers that bloomed in late April. Because of the single stalk, it needed to be staked so it wouldn’t fall over in the rain. Hopefully, next year it grows a little bigger so it can support itself.
