Golden Alexanders are very versatile for your prairie with flowers perfect for short-tongued insects. Thrives in various conditions, is salt tolerant, and serves as a vital food source for Black Swallowtail caterpillars. While tolerant of shade, Golden Alexanders truly do best in the sun. It’s commonly confused with the invasive Wild Parsnip (Pastinaca sativa), but Zizia aurea is a totally different plant. It’s beneficial for the ecosystem and all pollinators.

SHIPPING INFO:
We begin shipping live plants at the end of April and the first week of May depending on where you are located (weather permitting). Bulbs start shipping late July.
We ship live plants on Monday-Wednesday. Live plant orders ship in 1-2 business days unless ordered after cutoff time (7:00 AM on Wednesday) for the week, then it could take up to 3 business days. Orders received by 7:00 AM on Wednesday will ship the following Monday or Tuesday to make sure your plants aren't in transit longer than they should be. Delivery for all orders from carrier takes about 1-5 days. We ship all other products Monday-Friday.
